Hi!

I've seen that there is Xen support in vanilla 2.6.23.1 and wanted to
give it a try but failed :(

I've googled for a while and read some threads about problems with
2.6.23 on xen-users and xen-devel but could not find a solution.

My Dom-0 is running on a Debian Etch with xen installed from Debian
packages and running a 2.6.18 Kernel with Xen support (from Debian).

$ xm list
xen_major              : 3
xen_minor              : 0
xen_extra              : .3-1
xen_caps               : xen-3.0-x86_32p

Every time I try to 'xm create -c' a domain, the command hangs.
When using 'xm create' without console request, the command finishes
but a 'xm console' hangs.

According to 'xm list' does the domain some things...

I`ve tried to boot vanilla 2.6.23.1 with/without SMP and with/without
ACPI support. Local APIC was off every time, I'll play with this when I`m
at work.

I also have applied the patches from

 * http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2007-10/msg00277.html
 * http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2007-10/msg00292.html

but this did not help either.

My kernel .config file can be found at
http://files.rfc2324.org/config-2.6.23.1-xen

Any hints, how to get this going?
Any additional info needed?

Ciao & Thanks!
Max
