You probably DON'T want to use the initrd for Dom0 as a initrd for your
guest(s).
You'll need to set up a separate initrd according to the recipies
published in many places on the web.

I never did and never had a problem.

Are you talking about drivers in dom0 initrd you do not need in domU or is there a "real" problem in using dom0 initrd in domU?
