[Xen-users] Xend occupies ttyS0 and can not use modem in FC6

Dear all,
Until the installation of FC6 this morning, I have used modem in FC5
without any problem. But in FC6, the modem does not respond at
all. Query modem from kppp shows modem detection (even when it is
turned off!!!), but modem query result remains empty. That made me
suspect that ttyS0 is pointing to something else. As is evidenced by
the output from dmesg,
Xen virtual console successfully installed as ttyS0
I have tried not starting the xend daemon at boot time, but that did
not work. Could any kind soul tell me how can I make my modem work.
Then I tried putting xencons=off in grub. That prevented xen from grabbing
ttyS0, but still my modem remains undected. kppp simply says unable to
detect modem (as well as minicom).
Could any kind soul please tell me how to use a COM port modem with a Xen
kernel?
Thanks in advance.
