Yes, it is.
But I have the same problem on my notebook that have this ethernet controller:
Intel Corporation PRO/100 VE Network Connection

Yesterday I tried to use a paravirtualized env; I ran a modified
gentoo. The network works fine...
I have no idea...

please help me.
