[Xen-users] "xm save" needs way too much disk space
Hi!
When trying an "xm save" ("xm restore") for a VM with 8GB virtual RAM, the save
file had a size of about 8GB. This seems quite unattractive, because:
1) Some of the pages have never been written by DomU, so they need not be saved
2) RAM can definitely be compressed before writing to disk
3) it takes longer to save and restore than to boot
Regards,
Ulrich
