It *is* a SuperMicro, but with their software installed. :-)
We use AoE to create the block devices in Dom0, then export them with
the DomUs, as you guessed.
If you want to work with AoE, make sure you get their drivers.
They're in-kernel now, but for whatever reason, they're very far out
of date in the standard kernel sources.
