Absolutely. I searched google and this list. I found many suggestions by people on how to fix this issue. None helped. This does appear to be a recurring issue where the root cause has not been identified. Logs have been no help and strace'ing the process did nothing but give me a headache.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is an often reoccuring error - what did you try to solve
it until now? Did none of the hints in the list archive help?
