Hi,

On 6/14/06, Chris Fanning <christopher.fanning@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:

Have a look carefully on

for this line

So I assume my guess is right, the 10+ people writing 3.0.2.2 are just
accidents who meant to write 3.0.2-2... (please, people, get more
exact! For those who never realized it: information technology is an
exact science, every time you type _one_ character wrong, a machine
can make 1000 mistakes as a result of this).

I am so interested in this because there were multiple inconsistencies
in xen versioning and versions of xen published on multiple servers in
a non-synchronized fashion. e.g. xen 3.0.2 was available from the
www.cl.cam.ac.uk server, but only 4 days later on the xensource
servers. So, carefully looking doesn't always help, because it's
sometimes unclear _where_ to look at.
I never received a comment on this when I asked about why such things
happen on either xen-users od xen-devel. (hear me, xensource product
manager?)

Henning
