[XenPPC] Re: 2 questions of creating domU

Hi Amos,

We try to bring up domU but could not bring up the network. Below are a few
attachments that give the domU configuration file.

Dilma told us that your environment is more familier to ours than jimi's.
We would need your help to progress on the thread.

Thanks to David who put matched xen tools in the xen/linux image, which
solves the problem of memory configuration.

I still can not set IP address from dhcp. For convenience, I post the
configuration file here (See attached file: hao_edi_config); ifconfig
output of dom0 after 'xend' started: (See attached file: ifconfig.out) ;
and error message : "Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Backend
device not found."

I wonder if there is other environment setting we need to follow ? lib
path, command path ?

your xm tools are old, when you update Xen you also need to update
your tools.

The way we build Linux "ip=dhcp" should work and it does on my maple.
perhaps an update of all your scripts is necessary?
