I think the usage model of a physical VGA port is much different than
high resolution emulated VGA. IMHO, VTD is more interesting for things
like NICs and storage. VGA usage of VTD is a more specialized desktop
role. I think the guest console, whether it be serial or mouse,
keyboard, and video head, should be virtualized for accessibility. A
windows customer could use RDP, but they have to get through the install
at low res first, and it puts us at a disadvantage in virt-manager if we
only support a low-res VNC interface. So, I think we should come up
with plans to fix the VGA implementation in the open GFW. Thanks,
