Dan,

Thanks, I'll take a look. Right now it looks like it's walking the
entire memory space, not skipping the holes, so I am unsure whether
it's simply working like crazy or actually stuck in the middle.

Another question, I found the boot process of Xen to be very slow -
does it start up running uncached or something while doing all the
memory setup?
