Did you do the below?
5. make initrd for Dom0/DomU
# cd linux-2.6.16.13-xen/
# make modules_install <--------------this one
# mkinitrd -f /boot/efi/efi/redhat/initrd-2.6.16.13-xen.img 2.6.16.
13-xen --builtin mptbase --builtin mptscsih
# cd ..
And you may use --builtin option.
Whenever I mkinitrd, I do the below.
mkinitrd -f /boot/efi/efi/xen/initrd-2.6.16.13-xen.img 2.6.16.13-xen --
builtin mptbase --builtin mptscsih
