I have the same issue on i386. See the thread on "Timeout connecting.."
on xen-devel. It worked briefly last week when I did:
root.img (partition offset) -> loop1
loop1 -> hda1
But if I tried:
root.img -> hda
things used to fail. Today, neither method seems to work. Haven't spent
a lot of time debugging.
