I have applied patches from Tobias Geiger's xen-devel mailing list
thread
(http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2010-05/msg00441.html)
to Xen 4.0.2-rc1-pre. VGA Passthrough to Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day
Trial is *partially* successful only. As for Windows XP Home Edition, it
boots up with a garbage screen and just hangs there.
I have attached 2 screenshots showing the error pertaining to NVIDIA
Geforce 8400 GS in Device Manager in Windows 7 Enterprise.
The Device Manager dialog box reports that "Windows has stopped this
device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" and also "This
device isn't using any resources because it has a problem." Please refer
to attached screenshots.
I have made modifications to the patch file 03_dsdt so that it is
compatible with my secondary graphics card. Please refer to attached
patch 03_dsdt.txt.
I am unable to apply the patches from Tobias Geiger's xen-devel mailing
list thread to Xen 4.1-unstable because pass-through.c reports an error
during compilation (make tools).
