Xen.org has recently been accepted into the Google Summer
of Code 2010 project sponsored by Google. This is a great opportunity for
Xen.org to further promote our technology and obtain new features for our solutions.
As part of this project, we are looking for the following:
1) Project Mentors - Students who participate in this
program for Xen.org will need mentors within our community to support their
efforts. These mentors need to be knowledgeable in the area the student is working
to ensure their success. Google has a wiki with more info for mentors at http://gsoc-wiki.osuosl.org/index.php/Main_Page.
2) Project Ideas - A list of proposed project ideas is
available at http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XAPI_project_suggestions.
If you have a project idea please add your content to this wiki page for
students to consider. If you don’t have editing rights to the Wiki,
please email me your Wiki user name and I will setup the security settings for
you.
If you need more information on this opportunity, the
Google Summer of Code FAQ is at http://socghop.appspot.com/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2010/faqs.
Thanks to Dave Scott for his efforts in making this happen
for Xen.org.
