Hi
I am having some cpufreq issues and saw on xen lists that few of the others encountered similar issues as well.
I have some old dual core opteron 275's. I cannot get the CPUfreq to change in userspace. In fact, only boot option cpufreq=dom0-kernel works and the system can only have ondemand governor, which works fine except for the
Timer ISR/1: Time went backwards: delta=-17745355 delta_cpu=32254645 shadow=118262323582 off=721415126 processed=119001483597 cpu_processed=118951483597
messages.
Whenever I try cpufreq=xen option (or as per default nothing), I get kernel oops. Is it the case that these processors cannot have userspace governor in Xen?
My cpufreq=Xen dmesg is as follows
