FYI I also wrote a short report outlining what I was trying to achieve.
I was in fact trying to reduce the complexity of userspace processes
in Xen, and to try to take maximum advantage of QEMU's existing code
for stuff like VNC, text consoles, device emulation, bootloading, and
all the disk formats
