[Xen-devel] HVM guest shutdown send ACPI Power Event
Is there any plans to help HVM guests shutdown cleanly by issuing an ACPI power
button event on HVM shutdown with a configurable timeout?
This way it would allow ACPI aware HVM guests to initiate a clean shutdown and
xend will only forcibly shutdown the guest if it hasn't powered itself off
within the timeout value.
This would be extremely helpful for Windows guests which can detect the ACPI
power button event and cleanly shutdown.
