What are the symptoms of this?  Is the qemu-dm process in dom0
alive/zombie/gone?  Is there anything interesting in
/var/log/xen/xend-debug.log?

The shadow code for PAE guest domains has been simplified a lot in
patches that hit xen-unstable today, which should help with this.
