Hi *,

there are numerous mails about this xen "problem".
A short abstract:

On Dell PowerEdge 28XX the system freezes or locks on IO if USB is
enabled in Bios.
The reason behind this, is a shared irq problem, because USB and NIC
shares in Bios same IRQ e.g. both 15 or 7.
Bios shares some other irqs too but these seems to be not a problem...
This problem occures only with XEN Kernel dom0, a "normal" distri kernel
works fine...
If USB is in bios disabled...all is fine...

this is a /proc/interrupts with USB enabled

This problem is very annoying to me...because i am using an usb
usv...and at the moment i must disable USB in bios to have a stable machine!
Plz. could some developer contact me to investigate and fix this
problem? Or is this problem known and fixed in a newer version?
Currently i am using Xen 2.06 with xen Kernel 2.6.11.10 32bit

cheers,
daniel
