Thread-topic: Debugging with gdb

Jim, Gareth -

I tried to run OpenWBEM with gdb but did not get too far - no symbols.  I know you can get them with the -g compile flag, but I get my OpenWBEM from Yast.  Do you use gdb, and if so, how do you get the symbols?  And do we care about OpenWBEM symbols, as long as the providers have them?

Thanks,
Luke
