Summary: xm block-attach is not working for one VM, but will with
                    another
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.3
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Guest-OS
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Long story short I have 2 VMs. One is a P2V convert and the other is the x64
new version of that current box. Now if I try and do a block attach with the
x64 box it maps it just fine, right away just like it should. If I try on the
P2V box it executes with no error, but it never shows up on the running
console. It will however show up in the hardware config tab, but no sign of it
on the running console. I need this box to mount this USB drive like it should
so that I can run backups to it. The only thing that I can see now that is a
possible difference is that the x64 was built fully virtualized with the xvdb
drives where as the P2V box is just hdx drives. Let me know what you need to
figure out my issue. It may possibly just be some driver it doesn't have.
