Summary: xenpm start, statistics displayed incorrectly.
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux-2.6
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: Hypervisor
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: dkar4700@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The processor is an Intel quad core processor, first three cores are running on
ondemand and the remaining core is running on powersave govenor. To get the
average cpu frequency â??xenpm start 5â?? command was executed ( Results are
list below ). Although the cpu 3 is running on lowest frequency which is P11
100%, the Avg Frequency is reported as 2199360 Hz. There is only one vm running
with 4 vcpus. All 4 cores are utilized evenly while stats were gathering.
1)If cpu 3 was running 100% on P11 state the average cpu frequency should be
around 1197000 ? ( If the reported figure is correct, could someone please shed
some light on how it is calculated )
2)The notation is also should also be on Hz not KHz on the average Freq ?
Please let me know if anymore information is necessary.
