[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1333] New: System panic after resume from S3
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1333
Summary: System panic after resume from S3
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Windows
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Hypervisor
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: kamala.narasimhan@xxxxxxxxxx
Steps to reproduce the issue -
1) Start a guest and pass-through iGfx.
2) Issue guest OS S3 (Windows->Start->Sleep menu).
3) Issue host S3.
4) Resume from host S3.
5) Resume guest S3 by simply starting the same VM.
This results in system panic with "DMAR hardware is malfunctional" message
triggered by code in xen/drivers/passthrough/vtd/iommu.c. I was able to get
past this by simply suppressing the panic but thought I would log a bug against
it. Also, I noticed some "time went backwards" message after host S3 resume.
