I'm seeing the exact same behavior on the latest opensuse kernel
It completely prevents save, migrate anything that tries to suspend. The save
or migrate command in dom0 will hang forever and the domU is renamed to
migrating-domU. The "last sysfs file" part was always
/devices/virtual/net/eth0/type, and I tried starting the domain with no vif but
it just changed to lo/type.
