I have tried a lot of configurations. You are right there is an interaction
between Xen and the SOL interface.
There is no any booting problem if the IPMI interface is disconnected from the
console (even though the SOL redirection is enabled on the IPMI interface). So
the problem is independent from the SOL redirection.
If I wanted to see the booting outputs (of the XEN kernel using SOL) the server
was not able to boot.
If you connect to the console (dpcproxy -> console) after the XEN kernel
booting there is no any problem (you can see the normal kernel output as well).
Here is my settings:
(Motherboard: Intel S5000PSL)
