[Xen-bugs] [Bug 871] New: NIC Limit for HVM Domains
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=871
Summary: NIC Limit for HVM Domains
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: HVM
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: xen703@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I noticed that there's a limit of 8 NICs for a HVM, while I'm aware of the
artificial limit of 3 for paravirtualized domains, I don't know if the problem
also applies for for a HVM domain. Anyhow, the limit can be changed in the
vlc.c/h file.
The guest recognizes all 10 (I need 10) NICs, and so far I wasn't able to
notice any difficulties, though haven't tested in depth.
Any insight on the limit is welcome, and if it is just due to historical reason
I propose to raise it.
