For the time being, you need to compile sd as a module if you want to use the
same kernel for dom0 and domU and import disks to domU as scsi disks.  I'm
leaving this bug open to track the fact that the blkfront driver needs to
change.

There doesn't seem to be consensus on the best approach to fix this yet.
