           Summary: (HVM) 32bit 1 CPU guest will not boot if a 64bit 2 CPU
                    guest is already booted using one of the same CPUs
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P2
         Component: HVM
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: esmith@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Test Configuration:
Dell Precision WorkStation 380, Dual Core, 2GB, 3 SATA (Intel VT)
64bit XEN Hypervisor on a RHEL4U2 64bit root (/dev/sda)
32bit fully virtualized (HVM) guest RHEL4U2 256MB (/dev/sdb)
      pae=1, acpi=1, apic=1, 1 VCPU, 256MB
64bit fully virtualized (HVM) guest RHEL4U2 256MB (/dev/sdc)
      pae=1, acpi=1, apic=1, 2 VCPUs, 256MB
      kernargs noapic

Changeset 10330

If I boot the 64bit guest using 2 VCPUs (both of my physical CPUs) and the try
and boot a 32bit guest with 1 VCPU (trying to share one of the VCPUs with the
64 bit guest) the 32bit guest crashes during the boot, spewing stacks on the
guest console. Very reproducible. If I boot them in the other order it
usually comes up but the 32bit guest will crash if you do any activity on it.
Usually trying to login on the console is enough to crash it.

If I reduce the VCPUs on the 64bit guest, everything boots fine and I can run a
load on each guest so the problem appears to be related to 2 guests both
running on the same physical CPU.
