------- Additional Comments From ewan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 2006-03-02 14:04 -------
There were two races causing this bug and a very similar one. The message here
-- "xenstore-read: couldn't read path /local/domain/36/vm" in /var/log/xen-
hotplug.log -- was caused by a race between Xend bringing the old domain down
and the hotplug scripts bringing the new domain up. This is fixed in xen-
unstable changeset 9030:b2d3117cc7ed.

The second race causes the message "xenstore-list: could not read path backend/
vbd/40" in xen-hotplug.log. This one is a race between the hotplug script that
tears down old devices and the hotplug script bringing up a new one. This is
fixed in xen-unstable changesets 9003:b30564f40914 and 9031:849723752858.
