[vmxyz]# cat /proc/cmdline
 ip=10.0.0.2:1.2.3.4:10.0.0.1:255.255.192.0:vmxyz:eth0:off root=/dev/sda1 ro

the default gw (here 10.0.0.1) is not set in the domU, despite CONFIG_IP_PNP
active in /boot/config-<kernelname> (bug 471). The other IP parms, above are
passed and set in the vm.
