[Xen-bugs] [Bug 436] domU crash on first migration

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=436

------- Additional Comments From madams@xxxxxxxxxx 2005-12-06 20:40 -------
It was a live migration. Standard 32 bit. Built from source.

Host A cpuinfo:
cat /proc/cpuinfo

processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 15
model : 3

dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe pni monitor ds_cpl cid xtpr
bogomips : 5583.66

Cpuinfo from Host B:
cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 8
model name : Pentium III (Coppermine)
stepping : 6
cpu MHz : 1112.369
cache size : 256 KB
fdiv_bug : no

flags : fpu tsc msr pae mce cx8 mtrr mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr sse
bogomips : 3984.58

Host A and B both have approximately 512M ram

Host A dom0 memory - 320M
Host B dom0 memory - 320M

DomU - Root filesystem for is nfs ( exported from Host A )
DomU - Swap space is looped back via file on root filesystem

Symptom:
Bring up DomU on host A, live migrate to Host B. While DomU is migrating, can
see it as domain 4 on Host B, in paused state( xm list). Once it crashes, I see
as domain 5 on Host B. If I then xm console 5, I see the boot up process.
Filesystems recover and I then have new instance of DomU. Once it crashes, I
can then live migrate back and forth between Host A and B without the crash
recurring.
