it seems fix for some users (redhat buzilla), thus I don't think that have
anything to do with xen kernels, but more a firewall configuration issue.
as a side note, you have to be careful when naming interfaces, xen network
script renames some interfaces, that could be the cause of the problem. closing
the bug report.
