[Xen-bugs] [Bug 289] New: Xenstore Full bug
http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=289
Summary: Xenstore Full bug
Product: Xen
Version: unstable
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Tools
AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: jyoung5@xxxxxxxxxx
Problem:
Today Xen store does not limit the amount of entries a domain can add. A
malicious domain could add any number of entires into Xenstore causing the
filesystem hosting the store directory to fill completely. This would cause a
large number of xenstored ops to fail as it will likely result in a xenstored
curruption being triggered ( and xenstored will exit). When xenstored is not
running, all domains will stopp functioning properly.
Possible Solution:
A per-domain quta system or some other mechanism to ensure that malicious
domains do no prevent other domains from functioning.
