after downloading source from
downloading 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7 versions in tgz form, building from source (tar
xvfz fname.tgz + make + make install + `which dmidecode`), the first step
solution is that 2.5 works on FC3 with single proc, 2.5 SMP FC4 work and
reported from team member with ubuntu AMD x86_64 works.
Now all that is required is to have team member with RHEL 3 AMD x86_64 test
with the new versions. After verify, the problem can be closed.
Then only issue remaining is that the packaging from FC3, FC4 and RHEL 3/4
will be behind on servers requiring. Any higher level packages will require
that the 2.5-2.7 source be downloaded and built to avoid the version < 2.5
