Thread-topic: [Xen-API] XAPI 0.5 build issues
Hmm, I think emails might sometimes turn up here on the list many hours after they turn up in the inboxes of people to whom the emails were directly addressed. For the record, this is what I replied to Greg earlier:

Hi Greg,

Many thanks indeed for pointing out the problem. I suspect those instructions on the website are out of date. Building xapi is known to be a complicated process, and we use something slightly different here, so problems can go unnoticed.  I'll have a go at building things today and see what needs to be fixed with the instructions.  I'll let you know what I find.

In the meantime, I'm attaching to this mail a script for building xapi in a fresh CentOS VM. I haven't tried it for a while, but it's slightly more likely to work than the install instructions on the website. If you want, you can try the script to see if it unblocks you.

Hope this helps!

Jon

I?ve been trying to build 0.5 XAPI Toolset following instructions from here http://www.xen.org/products/cloud_source.html.  I was surprised it didn?t simply work since a build VM is provided.  I?ve encountered several issues and am working to resolve them.

The first issue is that build-xapi-toolstack.sh uses the unstable source as the UPSTREAM_URL.  Changing that to UPSTREAM_URL=http://xenbits.xensource.com/xapi/0.5 seems to be on the right track.

The build now errors out as:
which: no pstopdf in (/opt/xensource/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin)

Do you have any suggestions that may help?
