[Xen-API] Re: [Xen-users] RE: XCP Management Tools Inquiry
Whoops, sorry about that, I'll have the XCCS site back up and running
properly in a bit (I've been focusing too hard on coding this week).
Watch for the XCCS new release coming later today :).

Thanks, Steve.
I checked Xen Cloud Control System, but it’s not on line? I’m not sure
if Xen Orchestra Project uses XAPI; I’m negative as far as I looked the
code.
The CloudStack Community Edition looks good (http://open.cloud.com),
although it supports only libvirt as far as I understand. Since they
support XenServer 5.6 in the Enterprise Edition, I think they can add
XAPI support somehow.
Even if XenCenter runs only on Windows, I think it should be useful if
it can connect to XCP; it’s much easier to install from my experience.
All the other ones assume particular distro of Linux, and they typically
require many things to install.

*Subject:* [Xen-API] XCP Management Tools Inquiry
XCP Users:
As many of you are aware, there are several open source products
available for everyone to use when working with XCP. I would like to get
some feedback on the various tools to get a feeling on how people are
using XCP and these tools.
Here are the tools that I am aware of (please respond if you are using
another tool):
· OpenXenManager – www.openxenmanager.com <http://www.openxenmanager.com>
· Xen Orchestra Project – http://xen-orchestra.com
· Xen VNC Proxy – www.xvpsource.org <http://www.xvpsource.org>
· Xen Cloud Control System - www.xencloudcontrol.com
<http://www.xencloudcontrol.com>
· Convirture – www.convirture.com <http://www.convirture.com> (not sure
if they enabled XCP APIs or not)
Finally, in the XCP meeting yesterday, it came up that XenCenter from
Citrix should also be allowed to connect to XCP as it does not now.
XenCenter only runs on a Windows machine and there is no plan to port to
Linux so it is unclear how many XCP users would leverage this tool. I
would like to gauge community thoughts on this as well.
Thanks.
