Hello Anna,
we are using an internal IBM research solution as
vTPM instead of the Xen vTPM.
The vTPM implementation in Xen consists of two parts:
back/front-end drivers and the core vTPM. We are providing the vTPM drivers
(back/frontend) to Xen and Intel is providing the vTPM to Xen. Your question
is related to the Xen core vTPM. Therefore, I believe that the question
can be answered best by the contributors from Intel.
