I am trying to get a HVM DomU up and running with the xen-platform-pci driver configured. This is a pre-requisite for getting access to the grant-table routines. However, so far all of my attempts at this have failed. I have tried the following Linux versions.
Ubuntu 11.04
Fedora 15 32-bit PAE
Fedora 15 x86_64
OpenSUSE 11.4
The problems I see when enabling PV opts in an HVM DomU are across the spectrum. Sometimes the hard-disk is not discovered, sometimes the virtual network interface doesn't work, and at other times random oops occur in the Linux guest.
If someone has actually got this to work, I would appreciate your suggestions/tips on how to proceed.
