1.[root@testhy9 ~]# /etc/init.d/xend status 
   xend dead but pid file exists

2.i set dom0_mem=8192M
but when it boot up, free says 6.5G.
if xend eat my memory?

Such a thing is known as stale pid and can happen due to an unclean shutdown.
Go to /var/run
see if there is any file xen.pid or similar name and delete it.
Then reboot things should work.
