Looks quite similar to a problem I am chasing. Can you please list
your hardware in detail. I assume it has something to do with the
new Intel CPUs and HPETs (in my case).

My hardware is: Supermicro X8SIL-F, Xeon X3450, Adaptec 5405, 8/16 GB
registered ECC DDR3 RAM.
