Below is the configuration file of eth0, No wireless setting. 

[root@xxxx ~]# less /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

My machine also uses e1000 module, I am not sure whether there are some 
relationships with e1000 module. 
[root@xxxx ~]# lsmod|grep e1
e1000                 156757  0

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Take a close look at /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 -- I 
suspect it has some wireless device settings.
