Hi,
I got a similar problem. The "mx console " worked well but after pressing Ctrl + C as a mistake of trying to escape from mx console i've console stopped. Even when i reboot and try to console a gain it does not do anything.

Exactly.  2.6.18-6-xen defaults to tty0, 2.6.26-2-xen defaults to
hvc0.  You can actually read this in changelog.Debian.gz, even.
I said I didn't know if they used the exact same kernel.  2.6.18 and
2.6.26 do not qualify.
