Re: [Xen-users] Using local Linux source code
1) That way you're not sending the mail to the mailing list, and...
2) No, you're not creating any kernel at all. It's only the
hypervisor (xen build target) and the tools like xm (tools
build target).
I thought your wish is to build the dom0 kernel yourself?!

You can just leave out the kernel build target, making only the hypervisor
and the tools:
make xen
make install-xen
make tools
make install-tools

Hi,
I'm trying to install Xen for the first time and I'd like to know if I
can specify the Linux source code to be compiled steady of downloading
one? As the Xen installation process?
In the Xen source code directory I issued:
make dist
So, it tried to download a Linux kernel. I don't want it, I want to
specify the Linux source code to be compiled. Something like:
LINUX_SOURCE_CODE=/usr/src/my_linux_source_code
make dist
Is there any way to do that?
Thanks
Ronaldo.
