I'm trying to suspend a VM, but I get the following error

$ sudo xm suspend dom1
Error: Domain is not managed by Xend lifecycle support.
Usage: xm suspend <DomainName>

Suspend a Xend managed domain

I'm using xen-3.3.1 compiled from sources on stable debian-amd64
(python2.5). How can I fix this?

kind regards,
