Sirs,

I have seen several messages regarding this subject in this list.

I’ve made it work for me on this circunstances:

Dom0: SLES 10 SP2

domU: Windows 2003 STD x64

vif=['mac=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx'] # With the Mac address I have manually specified.

Here is my problem:

In the beginning, I had widnows 2003 with ioemu and rtl8139 driver. After installed the GPLPV drivers, I have re-configured the vm config file as above.

But now, even removing the driver from Windows domU (from device manager), it looks like the O.S. (win2k3) is still trying to load the rtl8139 .

From Windows event log (System):

“Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC : Hás encountered a conflict in resources and could not load”.

The nic (realtek) is not appearing neither in network connections nor in device manager. Only Xen Net Device driver...

The domU is okay. But I would like to “remove” this message from event log.

I think Xen is still sending the “hwinfo” for the domU...

Any help is appreciated!

Bruno Bertechini
