Hey,

I built a 2.6.18.8-xen kernel and created the initial ram disk by following the instructions in README file in Xen source package. Then I put a entry for new kernel in /boot/grub/menu.lst (I am using CentOS 5). Here is the menu.lst:

##########################################
default=1
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
title CentOS (2.6.18-8.el5)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-8.el5 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet
        initrd /initrd-2.6.18-8.el5.img

title CentOS-Xen (2.6.18.8-xen)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet
        initrd /initrd-2.6.18.8-xen.img

######################################################

But when I want to boot from the xen kernel, I always get the following error message:

Error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable format

I used file command to check the vmlinuz:

># file vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen
vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen: gzip compressed data, from Unix, last modified: Wed Sep 24 19:00:23 2008, max compression

Seems there is nothing wrong with the vmlinuz. Is there anybody who can tell me how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

---------
Luke
