Re: [Xen-users] HVM guest high CPU usage
Why you don't use paravirtualized guests to run your Debian Etch? HVM is only necessary when you want to run Windows or very old Linux guests. Paravirtualization is the best way to run you Debian Etch domUs.

I have couple of HVM guests on xen
3.2. When guests boot, qemu-dm uses alot of cpu for approx 20 minutes post boot
then load drops to average 0.50. I did some debugging and see this is going on,
I suspect display output is using the CPU. Disabling VNC and SDL didn't help
with the CPU usage. any ideas how to reduce the cpu or stop it all together?
My setup is as following:
Xen hypervisor: 3.2
OS: Debian Etch 64 bit
Server: Dual Xeon / 8 GB memory
HVM Guests: Debian etch 32 bit
Thanks,
Mark
