[Xen-users] Move from tap:aio to phy device?
Forgive me if this has been addressed, but I couldn't find a similar thread
on the mailing list. Is it possible, using dd or something similar, to
migrate/move a XEN guest from a file (tap:aio) to an LVM partition (phy)?
Both Dom0 and DomU are CentOS 5.2 with stock XEN install.
For example, assuming guest "test" has been shutdown:
SOURCE: /var/lib/xen/images/test.img = 10Gb image
DESTINATION: /dev/VolGroupXEN/test = 10Gb LVM partition
dd if=/var/lib/xen/images/test.img of=/dev/VolGroupXEN/test bs=1024
Could it be this simple? If this isn't the correct way to address this
issue, could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Ken
