[Xen-users] No no-local network connectivity
After having had quite a long period of stability, we had another
incident yesterday where all of the DomUs on one of our servers lost the
ability to connect to the outside world. They could ping each other and
Dom0 which implies, to me, that the bridging was still working but for
some reason the bridged NICs were cut off from the outside. External
connectivity to Dom0 was still fine.
The Dom0 is running 2.6.21-7.fc7xen, with Xen version 3.1.2.2
All of the DomUs are running 2.6.21.7-3.fc8xen
Being a production environment, unfortunately, I could not do a lot of
diagnosis. Rebooting the server brought everything back online.
If anyone has any ideas as to what might cause this I would love to
know. Since installing Xen on this server, this has happened about 4
times in the last 18mths. The first time it happened, it seemed, that
it may have coincided with higher (not heavy) than normal network
traffic on one of the DomUs.
